Toyota to Sponsor for the 3rd Time the Blast in Cincinnati

Ohioans will definitely have a fun-filed weekend in Cincinnati since it's the 6th Annual Hyde Park Blast. And for the third consecutive year, Toyota the producer of high quality will serve as the Presenting Sponsor of the Blast which is scheduled for Saturday, June 30 which will be followed by the annual Hyde Park Block Party.

There would be three exciting events that would happen at the Hyde Park Blast:

• The four-mile run/walk from Ault Park to Hyde Park Square starting at 8 am


• The Criterium Bike Race sponsored by Scion which will start at 5 pm


• Kids Fun Run at 6:45 pm

It is expected that more than 2,000 runners and walkers together with some 300 by cyclists are to attend this year's Hyde Park Blast. The said event will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, The Wellness Community, Give Back Cincinnati and other local community initiatives.

Cheryl Koopman, co-director of the Hyde Park Blast said, "We are delighted to have Toyota onboard as a presenting sponsor of the "Blast. Toyota's hybrid technology fits in very well with the fitness and wellness theme of our event."

Toyota's hybrid technology will be prominent at this year's Blast. Aside from that visitors and participants will also be able to enjoy riding some of Toyota's environmentally-friendly hybrid vehicles that will take part at the "Hybrid Shuttle Zone" which will run between Hyde Park and the starting line of the run/walk in Ault Park.

After the Hyde Park Blast is the Hyde Park Block Party which usually attracts more than 5,000 runners, walkers, bikers, and spectators who gathers at the Cincinnati's Hyde Park to take part in an evening of fun, food, and entertainment. The said event will be held from 7 pm through midnight.

Schedule of Events:

• 6:30 a.m. - Pre-race registration at Ault Park (Busses and Toyota
  hybrids start running at 6:15 a.m. from Hyde Park Square to the start
  in Ault Park)


• 7:45 a.m. - Registration at Ault Park closes
  (Last bus/hybrids available at HP Square at 7:50 a.m.-last bus WILL
  NOT make registration cut off)
  Clif Bar Chase Runner leaves before main field (time TBD)


• 8:00 a.m. - Run Start


• 8:05 a.m. - Walk Start


• 5:00-9:00 p.m. - Criterium Bike Race


• 6:45 p.m. - Kids Fun Run


• 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. - Block Party
