Majority, if not all, think that a car company like Mazda only knows about cars and their parts. Could it be possible that Mazda has predicted that the rock band Floor Thirteen will be the next big thing?

Mazda has chosen Floor Thirteen for the company's Campus Joyride video game. The next big rock band blasted out of virtual college car radios all over the U.S. and Canada, and will be the next band to perform at the NXNE, the North by Northeast Music and Film Festival, on Thursday, June 7 at 10 o'clock in the evening at the Kathedral, 651 Queen Street in Toronto Canada.

Mazda has unleashed an amazing new video game this year and so they also want a truly amazing rock band to jive with it. The music of the Floor Thirteen blasted though the windows of virtual cars. This is experienced by the college students as they went on a campus joyride while they buy i-tune, play video game, and socialize. Mazda believes that excellence in cars, music, and education are the things that college students demand.

According to some press statements, Floor Thirteen is a musical phenomenon that is changing the public's perception on rock music; it makes such type of music fun to listen to. Included in the list of Mazda's judges were the Spin Magazine and Gillett Entertainment Group.

In the continuously ballooning number of venues seeking great independent music, Mazda is just one of the many. The Sci-Fi network for the movie Grizzly Rage picked up Floor Thirteen's single which is entitled "Bright Light Rockin' City". The movie is currently in production and will be aired to the public this summer. Aside from this, Floor Thirteen's "Call Me What You Will" is present in Every Barnes and Noble store all over the U.S. in 800 stores in 50 states. "Call Me What You Will" was featured in No Cover Magazine and CD Compilation.

Sylvie Harris, the President of Alpha Music Group, which is an Artist Development and Management Firm on Broadways, said that the auto maker (Mazda) and the rock band (Floor Thirteen) are part of a trend that is sweeping the U.S. The president further said that independent bands are starting to bloom by connecting with corporate marketing teams. In effect, record labels are being left behind. The group president said this is true despite so many choices on the internet. Harris further said that a hot new band is the companies' new best way to indorse new products to young audiences and that the teamwork of Ford and American Idol is an excellent example.

Harris believes that an independent rock band can save corporations from the very high fees of established bands and the difficulty of dealing with complicated contracts and that an independent band can sell a product to a young audience better than anyone. Harris urges that a win-win situation between the company and an endorser only takes a talented band with a great song and sex appeal.
