Formula 1 is the most prestigious and popular sports in the world now. Even if it has been there in the scene for the past 50 yrs or more, the popularity for this sport attained a sudden leap in the mid eighties.
The initial few decades were filled with accidental deaths of drivers, independent machine specifications, and less precise races. As the sport grew matured more automobile manufacturers turned their interests towards these highly lucrative sports and formed their own race teams. Ferrari, McLaren, BMW, Honda, Toyota etc have their own teams in F1.
With very stringent regulations in engine design, aerodynamics, hydraulics, traction control, fuel, lubricants , tire etc. the twenty participating teams have very limited space to display their abilities and this makes the sport exciting.
Every year new attractions are getting added to formula1. Many countries have started showing interest towards it. Formula one enthusiast in India is trying to get it here soon.
The Force India One unveiled itself recently and will be participating in this season race. Force India has announced that they are naming their 2008 car VJM-01 in honor of the team boss Vijay Mallya. From this year, for the first time in the history of Formula 1, Singapore is going to host the maiden night race!
?F1 has also brought many legends to the history of sports like Juan Manual Fangio, Niki Lauda, Alain Prost, Ayerton Senna and Michael Schumacher.?
This game of speed, precision, accuracy and most importantly, courage, has undoubtedly created the most popular sport persons in the world.
