Is It Really Worth It To Speed

By: Mark Robinson

The thrill of speed is something that many people desire. You want to be faster than everyone else. You want to finish a test ahead of everyone else. You want to get to the finish line before everyone else does. You want to finish your work ahead of time. You want to be fast and you love the thrill of being fast. If you are going to be fast on the road then you have to be prepared for the consequences.

There are a lot of bad things that can happen if you speed on the road. First, you are going to be caught by the police. If you are not caught by the police, there will be some radar out there that will catch you and sent a ticket straight to your house. You do not want to be bothered by the police. You do not want a bad record. If you are going to speed then you have to be prepared to face the police.

Second, when you are caught by the police, you are going to have a bad record. What happens when you have a bad record? Your insurance premiums will increase. This means that you will be paying more money for the same kind of auto insurance you had when you were not speeding. When you speed, you end up losing money. If you are planning to speed in the near future, think again. You are going to be burning dollars with your auto insurance premiums. You certainly do not want this to happen to you.

Third, you are going to consume more gas than usual. Do you want to spend a lot on gas? Do you want to burn all your money on gas? Some people say that it is worth burning the money on gas when you are speeding but that is only one tree in the forest. It is only one slice of the pie. You may enjoy speeding but there are so many other bad things that result from such activity. Do not speed and do not burn gas money. You even pollute the environment even more when you speed so forget about speeding altogether.

Fourth, you are going to risk your life. When you are travelling at a high speed, you are certainly more at risk of getting into a more fatal crash. If you are travelling at speeds of sixty to seventy miles an hour, you can already die instantly if you crash. If you speed in the eighty to ninety miles per hour range, be prepared to face death if ever you make a mistake with the steering wheel. Your chances of surviving such crash are pretty slim when you are travelling at more than one hundred miles an hour.

Speeding is something that you may want to do but you should think again and again about the consequences of such activity. Is it really worth it to speed and risk so many things? Think again. Be responsible and follow the speed limits. They are for your own good. Drive safely and watch the road. Keep a steady pace and arrive safely at your destination.
