Beautify the Exterior of Your House.

You want to make the outside of your house beautiful. The reason? You guessed it! To impress the buyer. The first thing a buyer sees when looking at your house is the exterior. And sight as well as smell are two senses you want to impress when you sell your home. Here are some easy things you can do:

- Keep your lawn neatly groomed and watered. Replace dead or dry patches.

- Make sure your flowers, plants and trees are watered and look healthy. Remove any dead material, or unsightly branches.

- Make sure your screens, windows and doors are clean and maintained.

- If you think the exterior of your home needs painting before you sell it, paint it.

Make the Interior of Your House Inviting.

When you sell your house, you want to make sure that the interior is cozy and inviting. A buyer wants to see a clean, well maintained, fresh smelling house. Here are some things you can do to get the interior ready to sell:

- Make sure your floors are scrubbed clean.

- Keep carpets vacuumed. Wash them with a clean smelling soap.

- Make sure your furniture looks neat and clean

- If you have pets, make sure they, as well as their living quarters, are clean.

- Buy some fresh flowers, or potpourri to keep your place looking and smelling fresh

Repairs and Replacements.

Don't get scared. A lot of repairs and replacements are simple and cheap to fix. Here are some examples:

- Missing or out-dated cabinet handles

- Cracked ceilings

- Ventilation filters

- Broken wall or floor tiles

- Torn or yellowed wallpaper

- Tarnished or broken faucets
