By: Phoenix Delray

San Diego is a city that is unlike any other in this country. It is a city with history, culture, beaches, and fun. The climate of this city is unparalleled and is a key factor in making San Diego condos such a hot ticket item on the real estate market. The weather in San Diego is something that attracts people from all over the world for vacations and often times, to make a permanent move.

San Diego has a very temperate Mediterranean climate which means that it has very mild and dry summer seasons and sunny weather throughout most of the year. There is not that much of a range in temperatures during the year; it does not typically go below the high fifties in the winter and usually stays in the seventies in the summer time. Although the summer time is very comfortable in weather, the months of August through October can be very, very hot. These are usually the hottest months of the whole year in San Diego. Winter is San Diego is not what most people think of when they think of that season; snow and ice are virtually nonexistent.

This There are two months of the year that hold special meaning when talking about the weather to any local of the city; May and June. May is usually referred to as May gray if you were to ask anyone who lives in San Diego. Anyone who is native to the city will also tell you that June is often referred to as June gloom. These two affectionate titles refer to the fact that San Diego often has a hard time shaking off the marine layer, a cloudy layer which is typically higher in the atmosphere than fog, that comes in during the months of May and June.

Despite these minor and unusual fluctuations in the weather pattern, people love living in this climate. People rarely move out of San Diego; most people are flocking to this wonderful city. San Diego condos are such a hot commodity that some people are even purchasing them solely as vacation homes. Buying San Diego condos makes more sense than an entire house because you may not be there as much and would not really get your money out of such a large investment. While the weather is amazing and the culture is incredibly unique, the price of San Diego condos is high. So, if you are thinking about relocating to this beautiful place, just be prepared to shell out some big bucks to make it happen.
