The cities many are looking to buy in are Denia, Javea and Altea to the north, in the mountains, and Alicante and Torrevieja in the south. The demand goes up for properties that have extra amenities like private pools or hot tubs.

Another thing people look at when buying a property is what is nearby. Those near water parks, theme parks, animal parks and other attractions, which can often be found in Benidorm has many are very popular because these are locations families are looking to visit.

Some of the properties that are about a 30-minute drive from the beach are much larger, have more land, and are more affordable since they are not in the center of the tourist district. Many of these properties will even have fruit trees or orchards on them.
