Set on a large 2,500 square meter, gently sloping grounds, studded with coconut palms and fragrant frangipani trees, with a crystal clear 10 meter x 5 meter lap swimming pool this home is stunning in it’s tropical architectural simplicity and sumptuous comfort. The villa was designed and built by the same International Group who built the Four Seasons Hotel in Bali which has been voted as the No. 1 resort in the world by Conde Nast Traveller Magazine. Their practiced understanding of the needs of tropical climate homes, and sympathetic use of traditional Balinese architectural concepts and utilization of the best of local timbers and handcrafted stones sets this villa apart. The Location Located just beyond the quiet and picturesque Balinese Village of Pererenan, where ducks are often seen herded home by their owners and farmers timelessly attend to their rice fields. Villa Sungai Tinggi is totally secluded from the bustling tourist areas and yet is an easy 50 minutes drive to International Airport and only 25 minutes from the many popular restaurants and shops of Seminyak. For the golf enthusiasts, the Bali Nirwana Golf Course - Bali’s premiere, signature golf course designed by Greg Norman, is only 10 minutes away. This course has recently been voted as one of the top ten resort golf courses in the world. The well renown Le Meridian Resort hotel and the famous Tanah Lot Temple are located here as well. Villa Sungai Tinggi has over 100 meters of private beach frontage to Canggu Beach. A river meanders on it’s western border and low lying rice fields sway all along the private driveway boundary. The second you walk through the entry gates you are simply overwhelmed by the immediacy of the stunning and uninterrupted ocean views. The panorama sweeps from the Jimbaran Bukit headland in the south across to the Java coastline in the west and the cloudy peaks of Gunung Agung to the north. The Living and Dining The stunning main 12 meter x 8 meter open living and dining pavilion has been designed for relaxation and entertainment and provides optimum enjoyment of the wonderful ocean, river and unforgettable sunset views. The pavilion with it’s high natural alang alang grass ceiling, the tall supporting coconut columns and the cool cream terrazzo paved floors is the very essence of luxurious tropical living. Overhead ceiling fans and gentle sea breezes keeps everyone cool and the ample lounge area seating assures that there is room for everyone to find a quiet corner for themselves. A 3 meter bar contains a bar fridge and complete music system with surround sound speakers in the ceiling. The 3 meter handcrafted coconut shell dining table for 12 makes for easy and elegant dining. A separate air -conditioned indoor study has a Television unit complete with VCD and Video systems. A second upstairs casual open living area also has a Television unit with VCD, Video and Play station systems as well as a billiards table for your enjoyment. The grounds are beautifully grassed and maintained. The wonderful 10 meter long swimming pool is lined with green stone with a palimanan surround and is only meters away from the beach. A swim in the pool, a surf at one of Bali’s most popular surf beaches, a beach walk, a bike ride up to the village and its surrounds or a quiet fish at the rock pools are all only a matter of steps. The Bedroom Suites Villa Sungai Tinggi has 5 spacious bedroom suites, all with private bathrooms. The villa has been designed with a master and study bedroom wings on ground level and a separate wing with a further two ground level bedroom suites and a second upper level bedroom suite opening onto a casual upstairs living area, with billiards table. All the bedrooms have fabulous ocean views with large glass sliding doors that open onto terraces leading directly onto the garden. High Grass roofed ceilings and the cool and clean feel of dark teak timber floors underfoot have been used throughout and each bedroom has individual deluxe split air conditioning units as well as overhead ceiling fans. All suites have custom made oversized king beds with built in wardrobes. Often overlooked in tropical homes, all bedrooms have blackout curtains. The bedroom interiors have been tastefully furnished with a balance of modern rattan and collected antique furniture and artifacts. The Bathrooms The bathrooms all have the wonderful cool and clean feel of cream terrazzo stone floors, vanity bench tops and shower bases and incorporate fine European fixtures. Three of the bathrooms have large terrazzo bathtubs. Electric water heaters assure constant and endless hot water supply. All the bathrooms have the Bali charm of being indoor and outdoor in design and have been lined with hand crafted white stone. A special feature of the master bathroom is the beautiful round tub that allows you to enjoy the delights of a bubble bath under the stars. Food and Beverage Service Our staff has been trained to serve you to a fine level of comfort and elegance. Every effort will be made to accommodate your dining requests and special dietary needs. Our chef and assistant cooks know how to shop for premium quality produce and all provisions will be provided to you at cost. A selection of menus that our cooks are comfortable with preparing will be made available for you to review on a daily basis. For larger events we can also easily arrange for additional professional outside catering if needed. Naturally, Indonesian cuisine is a specialty and we have a wide selection of delicious choices.
