A holiday above it all …..where the sea meets the sky.
STUNNING in its architectural concept, The Angkasa is set high on Memedi Hill overlooking beautiful Jimbaran Bay and beyond, with expansive vistas of Kuta and Sanur Beaches and the reclusive volcanic peaks of Bali’s highlands – dominated by the magnificent Mount Agung, home of the Gods.
THE SETTING in rural seclusion on the northern slopes of The Bukit, Bali’s prominent southern peninsula, provides not only fabulous views and cooling ocean breezes at all times of year, but also close proximity to the beaches, shopping and nightlife of Kuta-Legian’s hustle and bustle. And yet, only 15 minutes to Nggurah Rai international airport – one may be almost tempted to watch your friend’s plane circle for landing, then drive down to meet them at the terminal!
APPROACH along a rustic village lane to the Angkasa, step in through the traditional Balinese entrance gate, past framed glimpses of bubbling fountains and suddenly you are overwhelmed by a panorama of ocean and sky, the sea breeze providing instant relief from the heat of the day, or the stress of your international flight.
CENTRAL to The Angkasa is the 12 meter SWIMMING POOL, sweeping gently around a natural limestone rock formation. Take the plunge and wash away the rest of your cares, then afterwards soak up some sun on one of the Bangkarai redwood pool decks - The Angkasa’s friendly staff will be happy to serve your choice of cooling refreshments.
The Living and Dining areas and the fully appointed western kitchen provide fresh, OPEN AIR LIVING and panoramic views, while the entertainment room and sleeping pavilions may be opened out to the same fabulous views and breezes, or may be closed off for air conditioned comfort and privacy. All pavilions shelter under high, “alang-alang” thatched roofs, traditionally Balinese in concept yet stylish and modern, and which are the key ingredient to the cool, airy living spaces.
SKYLINE WALKS through cow paddocks encompass the rugged beauty and 360˚ vistas of Memidi Hill, or an afternoon stroll along a village lane takes you to Garuda Wisnu Kencana, Bali’s performing arts complex.
As DAY BECOMES NIGHT, spectacular sunsets give way to a blaze of lights across Jimbaran bay and the evening sky, the Guardian Wisnu ever-watchful. VENTURE BEYOND to secluded coves and pristine coral sand beaches, framed by the rugged limestone cliffs of The Bukit – Dreamland, Bingin, Padang Padang and the majestic Ulu Watu.
DESIGNED by award-winning architects Grounds Kent (Four Seasons Resort, Jimbaran), The Angkasa comfortably sleeps 6 people and aims to provide stylish, out-of-the-ordinary holiday accommodation for a family or group of friends.

Angkasa Dining
The Angkasa’s full-time cook Ibu Made, will prepare your Breakfast (Room Service, or served in the Dining Room) and if you require, Lunch and Dinner, from The Angkasa’s own menu of selected Western and exotic Balinese dishes.
We recommend a number of close-at-hand restaurants, which provide a wide range of dining experiences – refer to our Restaurant Guide – and don’t miss the Jimbaran Bay evening seafood market, extremely popular with locals and visitors alike.
For an occasional change, simply dial for gourmet pizza or pasta, delivered right to your doorstep from a nearby restaurant on The Bukit. And for those of you who enjoy cooking, Ibu Made will be only too pleased to shop for you at the local markets or delicatessen, and assist you with preparation as you require. And what a place to cook - The Angkasa’s open-air kitchen has to have one of Bali’s most superb views.
