As they gain more experience they may be assigned to complete more complicated tasks that require a higher degree of accuracy and independent judgment.

For working at home, an average data entry employee must word processing equipment in order to do the job professionally. In a modern context, this translates to a personal computer with an ink-jet or laser printer, though some companies may allow their employees to make use of a part of a larger computer system. This typically would include a keyboard, video display terminal, and a printer.
