Manchester is placed in the northwest of britain was made a city in 1853. A big city, it has a population of 452,000, which makes it the 14th most densely populated city in Europe.

The city has pair of major railway station, manchester piccadilly & manchester victoria. it's also servedby national & local coach and bus services, many of these services leave from the city's chorlton street bus station.

Manchester was the first industrialised city in the world and it was at the centre of the industrial revolution. Indeed, it was the international centre of textile manufacture and cotton during this time. as a result, it was given the nickname Cottonopolis during the nineteeth century due to its many cotton mills.

Because of its impressive network of canals and nineteeth century mills, Manchester City Centre is now on a tentative list of unesco sites. However, many of these mills have now been made into offices & flats.

These days, manchester remains very proud of its industrial heritage. despite this, its become a busy, futuristic city that is widely known as the capital of the northwest.

There are lots of things to do in Manchester. From beautiful park spaces to educational museums, you can not feel bored in this city.

One of manchester's finest museum is URBIS, which is a museum of urban life. The museum has countless permanent collections, as well as frequent touring exhibits. recent exhibitions have been on gardening and the fashion designer matthew williamson.

The city is also a fantastic place for live music lovers, as its got numerous venues. These include the Night & Day & the roadhouse, which regularly by local and touring bands.
