PSV Finishes Top in 2007 Dutch Football

PSV Eindhoven, the team in which the Mexican defense Carlos Salcido plays, recovered the Dutch football league leadership after winning as locals 2-0 over NAC Breda.

Forward Danny Koevermans scored the first goal of the red-and-white team at the 45 minute, while the Danish defense Kenneth Perez managed to score the second one at the 90-minute for an absolute triumph in the Philipsstdion.

The home victory places Eindhoven at the top of the classification with a total of 36 points, same as Feyenoord, but with goals difference (+25).

Other team such as NAC Breda is in the eleventh place of the Dutch tournament with 25 points, as the result of seven victories, four ties and six losses.

On the other hand, last Sunday Feyenoord draw 1-1 in their visit against Heerenveen at the Abe Lenstra Stadion field which placed the team in the first position as well. Forward Andwele Slory scored a goal at the 17 minute but Gerald Sibon scored the goal that tied the game at the 87 minute.

The points' distribution placed PSV in first place and Feyenoord felt to second, both with 36 points, while Heerenveen is seventh, with 30 points.

Other football results; Ajax finished with 10 men due to the removal of the Rumanian defense George Ogararu, and a final score 2-2 against VVV Venlo game, which was played at the DeKoel stadium.

The Uruguayan forward Luis SuÃ?rez scored the first goal against Amsterdan at the 37 minute, but Rachid Ofrany drew the game, momentarily twenty minutes later. In the second half, forward Klass-Jan Huntelaar (77) scored the second goal, but again Venlo reacted and Sandro Calabro (89) tied the game.

These results leaves the Ajax in the third position with 33 points; while VVV Venlo stays as the thirteenth place with 16 points.
