Keystone Restaurant Pte Ltd
I dined here with my family as a celebration for my Mother day. What a treat it was. we all had the degustation menu at $115++ which was a bargain considering the amazing food we were served. not only was the food beautifully presented, it was a taste sensation as well.

each course was introduced by the wait staff and a good explanation was given as to what we were eating. some of the tastes were new - think parsnip icecream, which I personally liked for myself.

They have an interesting wine list - there were wines I was not familiar with and we decided to risk trying a few unheard of brands and were richly rewarded. Great Pinor Noir from NZ

Chong Pang Nasi lemak had its humble beginning in the former rustic Chong Pang Village Hawker Centre in 1973. Today they serve their customers in a coffee shop situated along the busy Sembawang Road. Price wise is still okay, the drumstick is about 2 bucks. weekends or rather dinner time, it will be full of people and long queue. ended sometime might have to wait about 10-15mins. they've alot of dishes to choose from, but i think it's the same everyday.
They are generous in their servings, and a set consisting of rice and 3 other ingredients cost about $5, which is way cheaper than the $10 a plate at Punggol Nasi Lemak. Today, I ordered their chicken wings, sambal lady fingers and sambal prawns. The chicken wings were fried to the right crispiness, and the meat was tender too. The prawns were a good complement with the chicken but the lady fingers were ordinary. I would have preferred it to be more spicy.

Always ask for an extra dollop of sambal chilli, because that should be drenching your rice and chicken wings for the ultimate nasi lemak experience!
Most people come to this outlet for takeaways, but if you're in no hurry, there are always seats available. Like myself yesterday.

Prawn Noodle - Teo Chap Bee Eating House
Try the Prawn Noodle, you will like the soup. It really does taste like the type of prawn noodle soup I grew up eating except that perhaps the oiliness and saltiness have been tone down to our healthy living now. It's the same successful formula paired with Ngor Hiang except that it is a little more laid back than the other stalls.

Prata Saga Sambal Berlada
Located at Tekka Centre, this stall serves Indian cuisine such as prata and murtabak.
In the heart of Singapore city’s Little India is the Tekka food market. Inside are hundreds of food vendors each in small stalls and cooking up a range of aromas. It is not just Indian food you can find inside the market, but it is the reason we went so we choose a prata/murbartha stall.
Prata bread is one of my favourite Indian small meals that I fondly remember enjoying whilst visiting little India after work a years ago, ever since but have had no luck. So this market made me really smile and excited about the prospect of having some of the tasty bread once again!

Bike Haus International
Colin and Melvin Koh both began racing in their early teens(from different eras though, early 80s and Mel in the late 80s) for the most successful cycling team at the time the Geylang Cycling Club, with sucesses in national and International arena. Melvin was to later went on to pursue his interest in religion and animals. It was in 1994 they came together wanting to make an impact on the racing scene with mid to high end range of bikes and were cleanly knocked off the pedestal of high ideas and new retail concepts. Many new (at its time)safety features and new technology materials, apparels and components were to fall on deaf ears of early consumers which is the standards nowasdays.

We obviously are still far from getting this country bicycle friendly. On Jan 3rd 2011, we lost a dear friend to a truck driver who was speeding along Changi Coast Road. Edwin Chua was 45 years old when he widowed Mary leaving behind 2 lovely young children. It was one of those things you knew that he shouldn't have ridden on a Monday morning. More about that in details in other sections.

118 Porridge
The porridge here is cheap and good. The porridge is always a nice creamy consistency and I find that there is also a fair amount of fish fillets pieces. The house special crispy noodles is a hit or miss at times, but I like the mix of seafood, chicken, and BBQ pork with the nice crunch of noodles.

Also got some soy sauce chicken to go today. The meat was incredibly tender and juicy, loved it...however, there really wasn't any soy sauce flavor outside of the skin which I tend to remove prior to eating.
