Ever since X Box 360 was introduced by Microsoft for the gaming community, there has been an expression of unhappiness by the gaming community. It is regarding the 360 freezing issues. Many complain that as many as one third of X Box 360 sold have the 360 freezing issues. Of course, Microsoft has been attending to these problems, but one has to have patience to wait for four to five weeks.

What is freezing?

Freezing is a device installed in the X box to protect the console against overheating. If the console is overheated, it is likely to melt the internal hardware. To protect the internal hardware a device has been provided which freezes system and therefore the console is protected. To avoid overheating cooling is provided in all the consoles. Because of faulty cooling mechanism, the system gets overheated and the X Box 360 freezes. When this freezing occurs, a message is flashed Error e 37 and the three red lights starts glowing indicating the system has frozen.

360 freezing issues also starts with the while downloading of X Box live. The freezing problem appears to aggravate because when content is partly downloaded the freezing occurs. A part of the matter downloaded off the XBMLM and when the 360 is turned off the download is incomplete. This incomplete file on HDD obstructs the further downloading. This is said to be one of the 360 freezing issues of the X Box 360.

The following steps are suggests which remedy is the situation:

1. One of the remedy for the 360 freezing issues is to Switch off the X box 360 and then to physically disconnect it from the internet. For this, the Ethernet cable or the wireless adapter should be disconnected.

2. After disconnecting the internet cable from the console, now turn on the X Box 360.

3. Without connecting the internet cable, go to the ‘system' blade. Now choose the ‘Memory' option and go the storage device.

4. Now look for the incomplete content files. These incomplete content files are highlighted by yellow exclamation marks. Ensure that all these incomplete content files are deleted.

5. After ensuring all the incomplete content files have been deleted, now switch off the X Box 360 console.

6. Now reconnect the internet cable and Ethernet cable or such other cables which have been disconnected to the X Box 360. Now switch on the console.

7. Now connect the X Box 360 to the X Box live.

360 freezing issues would have been solved by following the above procedures.

Some even suggest that 360 freezing issues can be solved by following the repair guide ‘Do it yourself' procedure. This repair does not require any special tools or skill.

The X Box updates provided by Microsoft, if properly downloaded, the 360 freezing issues normally gets solved. But where an incomplete or faulty download has been made, then the steps given above will set right the 360 freezing issues. This will enable the user to have his funny gaming time without any interruption and he need not look to the Microsoft Service Centre to rectify the error
