If you have a web site, you need people easy to visit your site and easy to find what's they need, you have to optimize your site's structure.A well-organized Web site is one that makes it easy and intuitive for visitors to find what they want. The easier it is to use, the longer users will stay at the site, and the more they'll see of it. Good Web site structure also makes it easy for you to grow your site logically.
and i will show you the 3 tips about this.

first, you need to find out how many categories that you will provide.layout the hiberarchy in a paper, it always a tree hiberarchy.for a online store like one-battery.com, the hiberarchy is that home(eg. one-battery.com)->categories index(eg. http://www.one-battery.com/laptop-batteries.html) -> brand index (eg. http://www.one-battery.com/acer-laptop-batteries-0.html) -> detail pages(eg. http://www.one-battery.com/laptop-batteries/acer-bt.t5003.001-1384.html)

This clean, 3-Tier Web site structure yields an easy, navigable site for both your human visitors and your search engine spiders. Spiders always come in through the home page (as long as you submit it to them). From there, you've left them a nice trail to follow. So they can easily index the rest of your pages.

second, build a sitemap that contain all your pages, no only html format(http://www.one-battery.com/sitemap.html) bu also xml format(http://www.one-battery.com/sitemap.xml)

third, make sure your important page should be exposited near the home page, it means your site's hiberarchy need to be more flatness.and your important products can be shown in the home page or brand pages, like http://www.one-battery.com/acer-laptop-batteries-0.html

After creating the optimal Web site structure you can start to build other things about your site.
