As we get older we quickly forget that our bodies are not the same way they used to be. Our bodies do not respond like they used to. Let me explain more. Every one remembers the day when they hurt themselves by doing a strenuous activity. The body does not heal and recover like it once did. The repetitive, fun activities of our youth are quickly replaced by ice packs, ibuprofen, and long relaxing stays on the couch. I want to explain to you how the piano dolly became my new best friend.
I can remember my phone ringing. On the line was a buddy who was in the process of moving into a new larger home. He was a friend that I knew since grade school. We had play on a lot of sports teams together. We were very close. He felt like family to me. He had called to ask me if I would help move a couple of the larger items that he owned before the professional movers came and moved a majority of his family's possession.
His pride and joy was a very large and very heavy baby grand piano. It had been in his family for years. It was given to him after the death of his father. You can imagine it was very special to him. As I looked around the room I was looking for a piano dolly to help with the move. Knowing my friend I knew that he did want to spend the money to pay the high price for a professional piano mover. I knew we were on our own to move this large item.
To move an instrument like this it can be very difficult. The piano can easily weigh over a half of a ton. An emergency room visit will soon follow. The design of the grand piano makes it very hard to maneuver. Moving the piano over carpeted or rough surfaces can cause a piano leg to break risking injuries if the piano would fall on the mover. Smaller openings like doorways can create quite a challenge. One of two things will happen. I knew we would either damage the piano or put holes in walls. Calling a professional dry waller would soon to follow. I quickly was thinking of ways to excuse myself and not help.
To my surprise there was a ring at the door bell; at the door were 2 more helpers. That is when I got to meet my new best friend. The piano dolly had arrived. The piano dolly sturdy design made the move a lot easier. The grand piano was easily moved to the new location. I inquired of the cost of the piano dolly. The average price is around $400. It was easily the best investment a person could make. It is a lot cheaper than a series of visits to the chiropractor. No matter how large or small your next piano move a piano dolly will safely help make the job easier. It will easily become your best friend too!
The TOP 3 ways to take your chiropractic marketing online are: 1. Open a Facebook personal account. Make your personal page interesting; put up pictures, invite your friends, put your info for your business etc. Facebook has rules though and you must now open a business page for your office. Facebook only allows 5000 friends on personal pages and wants them to be personal pages. The business page is unlimited "fans" so that is what you want to spend time getting, people to be a fan of. Then update your personal and business pages regularly. Don't be a spammer by just sending out promo about your office. That is poor online etiquette. You need to provide value, post free health tips. Find things that you are passionate about in your field and let everyone know. Your goal is to get as many local people to be your fan as possible, add value by helping them and you will see that because of this they will come into your office. 2. Open a twitter account. You can link your twitter account to your Facebook personal account therefore you can get 2x the exposure. The same applies here get as many "local" followers as possible. Provide value. 3. Get a professional website. There are many companies to choose from. Many websites are virtual brochures. This is not a good thing. You want a site that, when you drive people to it via your facebook and twitter, will work it so that they then become a new patient of yours. In order to become a new patient they have to either give you their contact info so you can call them or they need to contact you directly. There are many ways to track the success of your site. If the person you are interviewing to hire to build your site doesn't offer this BE CAREFUL. If they want you to sign a long term contract BE CAREFUL. Marketing is about getting new patients and nothing else in the end. Not monitoring the results or requiring a long term contract are their ways to avoid the fact that they can't deliver results. Remember amateur hour shows in lack of results, get a professional and get REAL results. Marketing doesn't cost you, it pays!
