I always felt sorry for them, especially as I looked out from inside my warm home and saw them suffering in the cold winters and rainy autumn days.
It was just a typical Wednesday evening when I glanced over to that usual spot, something was different, something was strange.
a skip hire company had left a skip in the street for a while now, it seemed they had forgotten they had forgotten to pick it up. The skip was now upturned, in the middle of a deserted street. Where had all the homeless people I had grown to love dissapeared to? i walked out into the rain, just to see my favourite homeless man come crawling out from under the skip! woah!
the skip hire companies loss was their gain. They had used the skip as a means to gain shelter!
the rain was kept at bay, even the cold bitter wind could not touch them now. They had a home of sorts. A community. A village of homeless people bonding in a skip hire.
I spent the rest of the night thinking about what a great idea the skip shelter was, certainly a new twist on skip hire, that's for sure. If I ever find myself in their situation, I will be using their idea to keep myself and others warm, who knows, one day I might be in that skip shelter.
they can now band together. From having nothing in this world, they now have a fdamily of sorts, a home and can cuddle together to keep warm under the fabulous protection of a skip hire. All thanks to a skip hire company!
