I'm sailing awaySet an open course for the virgin seaFor I've got to be freeFree to face the life that's ahead of meOn board I'm the captainSo climb aboardWe'll search for tomorrowOn every shoreAnd I'll try, oh Lord, I'll tryTo carry onI look to the seaReflections in the waves spark my memorySome happy, some sadI think of childhood friendsAnd the dreams we hadWe lived happily foreverSo the story goesBut somehow we missed outOn the pot of goldBut we'll try best that we can to carry onA gathering of angels appeared above our headsThey sang to us this song of hope and this is what they saidCome sail awayCome sail awayCome sail away with meI thought that they were angelsBut to my surpriseWe climbed aboard their starshipAnd headed for the skiesLyrics by: Dennis De YoungMusic by: Dennis De Young
