I got no ambition   I got no position   I got nothing but a   father and a mother   they keep telling me   that I must earn my keep   and I know they are right   so I can't sleep at night   I got education   finest in the nation   Mr Know-it-all   but all I do is stall   I took lots of classes   I kissed lots of asses   I made a lot of friends   but I don't really know them   1-2-3-4-5   years of school went by   and I'm still alive   but I don't know what for   My girlfriend said she   would not put up with me   If I can't get a job   and don't know what I want   over 21   not getting any younger   now we'll see if I'll   lose at rock and roll
