i was devastated when i heard the news that it had happened again an innocent victim fallen prey at the hands of a deviant man his deeds were hidden from the public eye with a token action years ago can one simple action justify the lives he robbed, the innocence taken away? when whispers turn to screams a child torn from innocence we all fed the predator his prey with our apathy and indifference   now walk with our heads hung in shame we knew this and still we didn’t care i don't consider myself better than anyone but he doesn't deserve to breathe the air i breathe we pretend it's far away but it's right here in our back yard children led to the slaughter robbed of purity.
