I was riding shotgun on the   Chevrolet express   But I was somewhere else.   I was somewhere else.   And I could hear you talking   But you were talking to yourself   Cause I was somewhere else.   All by myself.      When you're eating the highway   There's nothing to say.   And you're life's laid out before you   For a thousand miles away.      When the sun is not shining    And there is nowhere to go   I was somewhere else.   I was somewhere else.   Yes, and the hours must be passing   But there's no way to know   When I'm somewhere else   Inside myself.      When you're eating the highway   You got nothing to say.   And you're mind is on the asphalt   And it's all melting away.      Woo hoo hoo.   Woo hoo hoo.   Woo hoo hoo.      When you want to remember   You just forget yourself.   When you want to remember   You just go somewhere else.      And it's me and the highway   24/7 a day.   Till my life steps up before me    Or I pass it on the way.      Woo hoo hoo.   Woo hoo hoo.   Woo hoo hoo.   Ahhh haaa.
