Why does my life always seem like one more thing will make me scream? My future's not that far away I get closer everyday to failure What is about my life that feels like running with a knife? One wrong move and I will fall One wrong step and I'll become a failure It's been a while since I last smiled Where will I be ten years from now? And if I'm doomed to growing up Let it be I've had enough When I start to believe everyone overachieves That    gives me a clue No one really ran that fast I just stopped to tie my shoe         Strange how I lose along the way Feeling different everyday Nothing special left to do Nothing special left to say I can't lie I'm terrified of what the future holds for me I have a lock on my own life and I can't seem to find the key They've got their shows of understanding and they've crossed the finish line How am I to start the race until I find mine?         The red letters of my Bible explain it all to me There's no need to fear the future or the person I may be God has it figured out He's planned it all ahead I'm glad he's smarter than I am or else I'd be dead
