i stepped down the same dark stairs   like last september   holding close to myself   as red eyes of winter   prowled or growled or coldly looked    with hate   with hate in my direction   a smile on their lips   and i'm lost, lost      somewhere in a dry cloud   she slipped with her lips   and lost her head in the   bed of a spider   closing   "look at me dead!"   and then a laugh to hide a tear and   secretly knew what she did   but still doesn't care   can she stop?      blindly and nakedly   trips through the cities   gripping everything   looking for someone to stay with her   and i never would have left   and i never would have left her   and i never would have left   i've looked everywhere   but she's gone
