Vacuuming is the most frequently used way to maintain our carpeting and that's why we are going to start this tips list from it. But what you are going to find in addition here are advices for removing spots and stains as well as suggestions for dealing with variety of other problems.

Let's begin, as we already said, with the vacuuming which is extremely important for prolonging the life of your carpeting. It's usually performed once a week, but you can do vacuuming even more often in order to remove the dust and to avoid the build-up of the soil. It is well known that the most of the stains can be easily remove in the first few days. After that it could be very difficult and sometimes even impossible to get rid of them, because as longer the chemical reacts with the material of the carpet the harder it is to clean it.

In order to be sure that you have vacuumed the entire room and floor, divide the place into sectors and clean one by one every sector. Don't move to the next until you finish the previous. Be sure you spend enough time cleaning the carpet if it is from plush or some other material like this, because there is positively a lot more dust piled up in it and one pass is absolutely not enough. Also you have to pay greater attention to the areas of the carpet where you and your guests or family usually step or place their feet on. The reason for this is simple - these areas are dirtier and need more cleaning in order their colors and brightness to be restored.

The annoying stains of wine for example you can wash without the expensive cleaning products offered on the market. Instead you can use a club of soda for removing it and when you are cleaning the stain don't rub, just blot. The reason for this advice is the fact that if you rub the stain it will spread around and it will even get worse. It sounds funny, but you can remove almost every food stains with the help of a shaving cream. Then you just have to rinse with soap and water. Nothing easier than that! And if your pet had an accident on the carpet which can't be removed easily we suggest using a mixture of teaspoon vinegar, detergent and all this should be mixed in warm water. Apply this to the stain and then let the carpet dry. If the spot remains after it, you can do this procedure again, but keep in mind that you have to vacuum the place very gently.

Some steps about the stains that you have to know:
-Try to clean them as soon as they have appeared.
-Always use a white cloth when you are cleaning a stain.
-You have to rinse the area very deeply, because if some of the cleaning materials aren't removed they will cause a new soil building up at the same place.
-Be aware of the dilute of the cleaner, because if it's not according the directions suggested by the provider it can cause a lot of damages to the colors of your carpet.

It is a good thing to do to plan a maintenance program which regulate the care for the carpet you will take in order to prolong its useful life. What you have to know about the cleaning products used for washing the carpets is that most of all are mild, but they are not absolutely harmless for the cleaner who use them as well as for the carpet you are treating with them. They can cause damaging of the colors when are used very often. That's way we advise you to use the mildest product to your carpeting which, of course, give the same results. But it is good to know that carpets that are not frequently cleaned during the years need stronger chemicals to be refreshed. So it is extremely important to keep good hygiene at your floor.
