If you're using article marketing in your business, have you noticed that over the last 12-18 months your articles don't seem to have the same impact on generating traffic and increasing link popularity as they used to? Not too long ago the search engines introduced their duplicate content filters which basically means if you have more than one copy of your article online you're pretty much wasting your time.

There are a lot of great places online to submit your articles to, and in return they can generate a lot of traffic for your web site, but if the search engines see the same article all over the web, they'll simply ignore all but the first one they found. So you need to think a little more "out of the box" in order to generate the traffic and backlinks that the "people in the know" are getting.

Article Marketing is Dead - Long Live Article Marketing

Article marketing is still very effective, but now you have to work a little bit smarter to get the search engines to pay attention to your articles. The rules of the game have changed recently, but once you know what those rules are, you can be back to generating masses of traffic and backlinks just like the old days. Fortunately there are one or two new software applications on the market that can do most of the "smart work" for you.

Most of the article submission software tools on the market work very well in what they do - they just don't do enough. They will submit your article to hundreds (or even thousands) of article websites and publishers, but they submit the exact same version of your article to each of them. So you will still be hit with the duplicate content penalties.

So unfortunately, these article submission tools are not a good investment for your business- no matter how many directories they claim to submit to.

Article Marketing With Unique Content is The Future

There are however, two very effective (and fairly inexpensive) tools that I've found (and have been using in my own affiliate marketing business) that work exceptionally well.

Both of these tools work exceptionally well, and work in a very similar way, and when used together can have a truly explosive effect on your search engine marketing and traffic generation. Each system submits to a completely separate list of quality article sites, so there's no overlap when you use them both.

These tools work by having you create 3 separate versions of your article. They then select paragraphs at random to create a new and totally unique version before submitting it to the next article directory or publisher. They will always take the paragraphs in sequence (so paragraph 3 of any of the original articles will always be paragraph 3 of the new article), but by mixing them up, you get a huge number of unique permutations

These 3 articles need to have the same number of paragraphs, and each paragraph needs to cover the same topic - you just rewrite it using different words and grammar. If you write your own articles, creating 2 extra rewrites is very easy. Alternatively, there's plenty of freelance sites where you can hire authors to do all the work for you.

I started using these article marketing submission software tools in my business about 6 months ago now, and the results have been truly incredible. More backlinks to my sites, more traffic from the article directories and massively improved rankings in the search engines for my sites.
