My personal preference is to never go less than 3% and no higher than 5% for my keyword density. Keep in mind, you will come across many resources on the web that tell you that you should use 'x' amount of percentage than another along with a good reason to go with it, but at the end of the day, it's your call. Use what works best for you so long as you aren't keyword stuffing.

The Right Density

Regardless of what amount of density you choose, it's important to insert keywords in the beginning and ending of the article to produce an hour glass effect. Remember, your article will be a money maker if it has the right amount of keyword density because it will show up high in the search engine results making it highly visible.
