Since the advent of the mobile phone, home phones and even cordless home phones have witnessed a fade-out. Very rarely do we see people carrying a cordless phone. But, home phones manufacturers have woken up to the fact that the demand for these phones has dropped drastically, and in order to sell home phones they will have to introduce really exciting features in their products. In this regard, various home phones manufacturers have introduced a few innovative features in their cordless home phones model that make them even better than mobile phones.

Most of them come with an in-built and handy speaker phone. Colour screens, like those in the mobiles, have become a common feature in cordless home phones too. A variety of ringtones and even the facility of unique wallpapers as well as screen savers are available in cordless phones these days.

Cordless home phones can also be used to send and receive SMS texts. This service can be taken by paying just a little extra to the phone service provider. You can even transfer your contacts stored in your mobile phone into your cordless phone. There is a special provision in the cordless home phones that enables it to read your mobile handset.

The best innovative feature available in the cordless home phones is the facility to be able to make use of the Skype and VoIP technology. One does not even need to connect to the internet for using this feature. The software is in-built in the cordless phone, and one can easily make use of the technology to make calls. This not only provides immense freedom to the caller, but at the same time reduces call charges. In some cases, it is absolutely free. The only feature required is the broadband connection.

Cordless mobile phones provide better quality calls at a cheaper rate. Features like intercom facility, baby monitor, security alarm and a clear menu display are some features not found in most mobile phones. Cordless phones do not have a signal connection problem and show a clear signal throughout the day.
