Here are some tips to help you avoid losing money to an offer that really is too good to be true:

1.) The internet is full of thousands of different companies selling diamond jewelry. Some companies are reputable, while others are not. Make sure the company you're thinking of buying from is a reputable company and not some fly-by-night website put up recently with no history.

2.) Brush up on your diamond education and learn everything you can about them. Companies that are nothing more than scams will throw out incorrect information to appear they're knowledgeable - but if you did your homework, you'll spot them a mile away.

3.) Avoid any company that sells diamonds and other items unrelated to diamond jewelry - such as clothes, potpourri, computer equipment, etc. To ensure it's a top quality diamond, buy from a reputable diamond specialist - not a wholesaler of a plethora of items.

4.) Understand their return policy. Make sure you understand every part of the return policy so that you know it inside and out. Don't wait until after you spend your hard earned money to find out that you won't get your money back from your purchase because you didn't do something right.

5.) A reputable company has customer service you can access 24/7. They're always there to help you - even if you haven't bought anything yet! A scam company is only interested in pushing you to buy and won't have any customer service.

It's in your best interest to assess the list of websites displayed by a Google search, for the companies that are trustworthy, as not all of them are. Buying jewelry from any website must be preceded by your assurance that they are trustworthy. Be convinced that you are paying money only for genuine jewelry. Only when persuaded of the genuineness of a piece of jewelry should you pay for it.

Differentiating between truthful and deceitful jewelry sellers sometimes requires only that you review their feedback and ratings. You are sure that you are doing business with a trustworthy jewelry person if you find positive criticism and evaluations on him. Your exact choice in online shopping for good and reasonably priced jewelries will no doubt be positively influenced by these guidelines.

It's actually wise to buy your diamond jewelry online, since you get more choice than what a brick and mortar jewelry store can offer. Safety, however, is a concern when purchasing anything on the Internet. Be a savvy online consumer and you won't have any problems with your diamond jewelry purchases.
