Does the new company you are looking at have an A Number One management team? Are they people you can talk to and ask questions and get answers from? This is a small list of things to look for starting a new home business opportunity.

How long have they been in business? Look for a debt free company that is in Business at least 5 years or more.

You hear people say look for the publicly traded companies. This is a bad choice because the companies concern is the share holders and not you the distributors. The company will be swayed by the stock market and not the people that mater. And that is you!

What is the demand for the company's product and services in the world?

You need to know who you will be marketing to, will it be corporation, other business or people.

What is the repeat demand for the product and services or will they just buy one time? How far out in the future will there be a need for these products and services?

One good personal test is would you buy this product or service if it was not attached to your business opportunity?

A lot of people say timing is the right time or is there market saturation? This is just not true because in history it has always been better to open up and business of the same kind because now you don't have to hunt for customers. Just drive downtown every place you see a drug store its brother is right across the street. Or if there is a Burger joint there is always his brother next door. Some marketers use big words like saturation of the market. Just check out how close the stores are to each other. So if you have the desire to do something do not let someone use this on you.

Another good thing to know is can this business be worked part-time and what will be the best times of the day to work it. Does this fit into your already busy day?

Here is a scary thought, will this business fill your home with products, is storage space going to be an issue? A company that handles the product and shipping is a much better idea. Then it is not necessary to have an expensive merchant account to process the credit cards.

In your new business is there a process to handle your customer reorders? Or are you going to revisit and take a new order every month?

Last but not least you should choose a company that has a program that you really like. Never get into something that rubs you the wrong way.
