Are you curious as to how you can hide your IP while you are online to mask your identify? Hiding your IP online today is a valuable tool, however, it is a little harder than it sounds. For those who are looking to remain anonymous while they are online, there are a few alternatives they have available. They can use some third party software which will mask their IP while online, or they can setup their own dedicated elite proxy server which offers all the advantages of third party software with added security and reliability.

One just has to search for ways to hide your IP while online and a multitude of service and software provider results will be shown. There are many different companies which offer services to mask your true identity while online. Regardless if you use a service or software provided, they all work basically the same way. Your personal home computer will connect to an server hosted somewhere on the internet and then make a new connection from that point to the website you are trying to access. Doing this masks your true identity. The website you are accessing sees the IP from the external server you accessed first. There are many different variations to this but they essentially all work the same. You are able to remain anonymous because your identity is now changed to that of an external server using an IP that is different to your home computer IP. This kind of configuration is available in both free and paid flavours. One of the most popular free services of this kind is Tor. Paid service providers typically offer more stable servers and speeds, as free services are typically extremely slow due to the massive amounts of people taking advantage of them for being free of charge. While this kind of setup does enable you to remain anonymous online, due to their nature of being hosted by a middleman, you may find that speeds and reliability are sometimes questionable. This is where the next method of hiding your IP online shines.

The best way to remain anonymous online and hide your IP is through setting up your own elite proxy. By doing this, you are basically removing the middleman mentioned above and creating your own server that you will access to change your IP while online. This kind of configuration offers the best speed and performance all at a low cost. Setting up your own proxy server may sound a little daunting, but once you are familiar with the steps required it is a simple process. Managing your own elite proxy offers the best speed and performance based on the simple fact that you will be the only accessing the server. Free proxy servers are always overloaded and extremely slow. By being free, they are heavily abused by many people and as a result typically crawl at a snails pace. Using proxy service providers does offer much better performance than free ones, however, they typically come at a high price if you require a multiple configuration setup. Also, since they are maintained by a middleman, you truly have no way of knowing if they are secretly reselling your proxy to other people without your knowledge. You may in fact be sharing IPs with other people on a service that was sold to you as dedicated and elite, used only by you.

Hiding your IP online is easy and can be achieved by using a proxy server. Various solutions are available online, in both free and paid services. While free proxies may sound good, they are unreliable and slow. More often than not they are so slow that they are practically unusable. Paid proxies are much more reliable and the best solution when using paid configurations is to setup your own elite proxy. Not only does your own elite proxy offer unbeatable performance, but also offers it at a rock bottom price.
