How To Approach Girls
Brent Crouch
When it comes to approaching girls, most teenagers, and even some adult men, tend to make the whole situation much more difficult than it really needs to be. The overwhelming majority of women simply want a guy to be honest, forthright, funny and polite. If you can manage those things, you will, eventually, find a partner you can spend the right of your life with, or at the very least, the rest of that evening. Let's take a look at some things you want to avoid as you learn how to approach girls.
If there is one point that sitcoms and movies have taught us about women, it is that they hate it when you try to be something you are not. There hasn't been a successful situation comedy in the last 20 years that hasn't dedicated an entire episode to a character pretending to be rich, famous or both to impress a girl, and in every case, the plan backfires miserably and hilarity ensues. It can be tough to present yourself to a potential partner when you don't have a lot of self confidence, but you are only sabotaging any chance you have with a lady by playing a character instead of being yourself. When learning how to approach girls, remember to simply be yourself.
While there is a small chance that the girl in question will find it cute, it is generally a bad idea to have a friend talk to a girl for you on your behalf. Most women will view this as cowardly, or at the very least, less impressive than if you had approached her yourself. The thing you have to remember is when you approach a girl for the first time, she is just as nervous as you are. Turning guys down may look easy, but it is never a comfortable thing for anyone to do. When learning how to approach girls, it is a good idea to always do it yourself, no matter how nervous you might be.
If there is one thing that most girls can't stand, it is a man without self confidence. The thing you have to watch for, however, is that you don't exude too much bravado when you approach them. Most girls like a guy who is sure of himself and acts naturally when talking to them. They don't want someone who is so nervous they can't speak, and they also don't want someone with such a swagger and attitude that they feel overshadowed. To put it simply, don't be a jerk. Find the right level of confidence when you learn how to approach girls.
Finally, don't always expect to get their number. You can always offer your number and then let them decide if they want to contact you or not. By offering your number, you are showing an ability to compromise from day one, and many women will likely find that attractive. It also lets her stay in her comfort zone while you venture out of yours. When learning how to approach girls, be ready to meet her halfway.
