This will generate targeted traffic to your website and will have cost you nothing but the time it took you to put together the article.

If your article is not interesting though, no one is going to follow your link. You need to give the people reading the article good information about the subject they are looking for information about. If you write about something that you know and are interested in, people will see that in your writing and know that you can be trusted to give them quality information.
