The Easter Wedding
Luca Salamone

Spring is here, with the twittering of birds, the blooming of sweet flowers and the Easter holiday. What better a time to join in celebration and start a new life together? For your Easter wedding you won’t be short of inspiration, taking full advantage by introducing those wonderful seasonal elements into your wedding day.
There are probably lots of ideas you and your partner can come up with on your own for this day, however, I have made a brief outline of some of them to help you on your way.
INVITATIONS:
•As well as introducing various Easter symbols and characters such as pictures of rabbits, chicks and Eggs, you could go one step further and experiment with the shape of your invitations.
•As a nice touch send a couple of mini Easter eggs along with your invitations.
•You could use invitations that are made using pressed spring flowers.
WEDDING FAVOURS:
•Mini baskets full of mini eggs
•Fluffy chicks
•Chocolate Easter Bunnies
•For table centrepieces have Easter baskets filled with fluffy toys and assorted Easter candy.
ENTERTAINMENT:
•Have an Easter egg hunt for the kids.
•Party games.
•Arrange for the Easter bunny to hand out prize eggs to your guests.
•If you are having a DJ see if he/ she can incorporate party games into the night.
DECORATIONS:
•A yellow and white colour scheme will work best.
•You can have Easter bunnies and chicks printed on things like napkins.
•Attach name labels to fluffy yellow chicks for the place names.
•Hang silver bells about the room.
•If you can make an indoor fountain into a centrepiece, surrounded with fresh flowers.
THE CAKE:
•You could have a large chocolate cake made to look like a bird’s nest, with the bride and groom figurines stood inside.
•You could try a similar thing, made to look like two halves of an Easter egg.
FLOWERS:
•Lilies, daffodil, freesia, narcissus, hyacinth, iris and Tulips.
•Bunches of Tulips, tied with ribbon.
•If you’re getting married in a Church you won’t have too much work to do as they will already be filled with flowers for Easter.
These are just a few of the many ways in which you can make the perfect Easter Wedding. Between the two of you, I’m sure you will find ways in which to add your own personal touches.
