Designer handbags use top of the line fabric that has no flaws. There will be no fake leather or fake skins. When you buy a designer bag you will always get 100% the real thing every time. If the purse is faux leather or made from an inferior fabric then it will most likely be a knock off.

2. Detailing

A designer bag will have extra stitching, wonderful detailing in the buckles and zippers such as a tiny diamond accent. Knock offs will have no diamond touches or nice detailing, the stitching will be basic and there will be nothing that stands it out from the rest unlike a designer bag which is unique and takes hours to make.

3. Labels

Most designer bags have a custom label or logo on their purses which is their mark of authenticity. You might find it on the zipper, embossed on the bag, or even inside the bag. Know that you are getting what you paid for. Knock offs won't have proper markings.

4. Follow Your Gut
