Health care benefits and 401K plans offered by many companies are a big reason why head of households choose to work a day job. The day job offers them a sense of security knowing that not only will the pay be constant but that their family is covered as well.

One of the bad sides of working a normal day job though is that you are only a very small asset to a much broader perspective working under the guidance and supervision of someone who is your superior. It's tough for some people to work a job and not be in control of where they may be in the future. Even being told what to do, how to do it, and when it needs to be done is also a big negative for many.

Those people who just aren't cut out for a normal 9 - 5 job may want to look into starting an internet business. It is a challenge to be able to make enough income with an online business so you won't have to work your 9 to 5.

Those that are good self managers, highly motivated, and are dedicated to succeeding at all costs are the ones who have the best shot at making an online business work.

It may not be wise to quit your day job before you start to see any internet income though. Making real money online will take awhile to accomplish and you just have to be patient with the results. Once you start seeing results for your work, you can ride that momentum and increase your income at that point.

A productive online business can provide a life without having to worry about quotas, deadlines, and without a boss. Living a life where you can work when and where you want is also a great benefit. With an online business, there is no limit to the amount of money you can make.

Residual and passive income is one of the best benefits of an internet business. Promoting or running your own membership sites can bring in recurring income to you every month even when you are not working at your business. If you promote more than one membership site, you can have residual income coming in from several other sources as well.

The opportunity to earn money online and run your own internet business is a great one. If you think you have what it takes to make it succeed, then I highly suggest giving it a shot. It's very rewarding and exciting to see success from your own hard work once that income starts rolling in.
