You’ve just signed up for your own space on the world-renowned MySpace.com. Just like all of the other newbies on the site, your personal profile page looks relatively bland. You throw up a couple pictures of yourself; add a few of your favorite things and a mention of who you’d like to meet most in your life, but your space is still boring. It just doesn’t reflect your individuality at all.

You’ve seen many other MySpace.com layouts, designs and backgrounds, but you’re still new to the scene and aren’t sure how to do all of that just yet. Maybe you don’t have the time or desire to put dozens of man-hours into it, but want to “spice up your space". All you really need to make your dream a reality is a MySpace editor.

A MySpace editor simply shows a default MySpace profile page instead of the boring, old template page that’s automatically generated by the site. Basically when using a MySpace editor, you “shop" for different areas of your profile page like the background (color or background picture), text (font, size color), any borders between sections, icons, avatars and so on. It’s really quite simple to use, too!

The best place to start is with the background of your profile page. You can choose a specific color or picture to place as the general setting to reflect your personality. Change the headings and general text to whatever font and/or color you’d like. If you’re unsure about the finished project at any time, there should be a “preview" key for you to click on and see your page how it stands to look thus far. If you don’t like something, all you’ll need to do is go back and change it.

When you’re happy with your profile page, click the “generate" key. The result will be a layout code filled with HTML and computer languages for you to copy (CTR+C) and paste (CTR+V) into the appropriate section of the “Edit My Profile" link in your MySpace account.
