Tip #1 - Wash with warm water, rinse with cold. If you use warm water to wash, it will open up your pores allowing you to clean out any dirt, old skin cells and the acne causing bacteria known as propionbacteria acnes. After you wash, use cold water to rinse your face and close the pores. You will notice your skin feels tighter and smoother. With closed pores you have less risk of future clogging and hence less risk of acne developing. Remember - don't use soap - use a gentle cleanser .
Tip #2 - Change your bedsheets. If you sleep on dirty bed sheets or use dirty towels, you run more of a risk of clogging your pores with debris. Change your sheets and use clean towels, and for that matter anything you touch your face with should be relatively clean.
Tip #3 - Don't touch your face. If you touch your face often with dirty hands, it's likely that you will be spreading dirt over your pores or clogging them with dead skin cells and oil from your hands. If you do touch your face, try to wash your hands first.
Tip #3 - Exercise. If you exercise, you sweat. The sweating process will help clean out your pores. Just make sure to use a clean towel to wipe the perspiration off and wash your face after a workout. Exercise, will also help reduce stress which could be a precursor to breakouts.
Tip #4 - Use noncomedogenic and nonacnegenic products. If you use a sunscreen, cleanser or makeup, make sure they are noncomedogenic and nonacnegenic, so that they don't clog up your pores.
Tip #5 - Use a good quality acne treatment. Although there is no cure for acne, you can control it. So use an acne treatment that doesn't have a lot of skin irritants and that has been show to work.
These five helpful tips should get you back on track for your next date.
