Any organizations depend on teams to develop new products, solve problems, improve quality, and increase productivity. Each individual in a team are required to work with many different groups of people in their professional as well as personal lives. Joining in a new team and immediately being expected to get along with them is somewhat unnatural. Due to cultural differences, language barriers and diversity among the team members there can be interpersonal conflict among themselves. Every organization will face the same difficulty.
Team building becomes an important issue when we focus on organizational growth. Team building is needed when there is a goal. For team building, select members to allocate roles within the team according to their personality. Assigning roles to team members help them to know their place on the team. Each team member must possess confident and positive attitude all the times and should be able to build trust among the members. Organizational teams need everyone committed to a plan, pulling together to achieve goals, communicating vital information and executing as successfully as possible. This process reduces workplace diversity
The team's primary objective is to make the most of each team player's unique perspective. To accomplish this goal, team players must learn to: identify their own style and the style of other team members, avoid carrying their style too far, learn to acknowledge the value of others' styles, use the appropriate style to maximum team advantage, and learn to switch their style when it suits the needs of the team.
