Designing a website takes precise skill and knowledge, far more than probably many people realize. There is more to designing a website than making it work right and ?look nice?. Graphic designers are brilliant with making web pages speak to users all over the world. The words, the pictures, the graphics, the flash toys, and tons of other things that are great to look at fill web pages both beautifully and in ways that make sense to users. Other than graphic design for websites, there is also SEO Web design. After all, what good is a fun-filled, good-looking page if no one can find it in the billions of other web pages out there? That is what SEO professionals do; they make sure that when a user types keywords into a search engine for something specific, those pretty pages come up first in the search results pages.

SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, is exactly that. Optimizing a website to its full potential so that it will display high up in the search results ultimately leads to more clicks to that website, which the business owner hopes will turn into more revenue. Companies hire these optimizer specialists to figure out good, better, and the best ways that their specific website will come out on top. There are many factors that determine where a website ends up in the search results pages that experts in SEO Web design look at, one of the first being who the intended audience is. Making sure that the website appeals to the right people is critical in optimization. Another important step is to figure out which key words are often targeted when someone is searching for a site in your industry. This is like targeting the competition, getting an edge on what people type in most often when looking for websites like yours.

Navigation is another big component of optimization. Paying attention to how navigation through the website affects navigation in search engines will affect rankings. The SEO professional must decide what technologies to use and which ones not to use, like HTML, Flash, PHP, etc. Syntax errors in code of the web pages can prevent users from even landing on the web pages, so every code must be exactly correct. When all of this (and much, much, more)is said and done, pages are checked over and over for broken links, bad buttons, and, while buttons and visible components are in the hands of the graphic designer, the SEO Web Design team makes sure as many people set eyes on that page as possible.
