First of all, Internet fax contributes to a more efficient office. All faxes can be sent and received without leaving your desk. Gone are the days of walking back and forth to the fax machine to see if that important fax you have been waiting for has arrived yet. Faxes can be delivered to one or multiple email addresses. Most Internet fax providers also offer an online interface so that faxes can be viewed from any computer with Internet access. Sending faxes can be accomplished right from the desktop as well using fax software supplied by the provider or through an online interface.

The same features that allow you to work more efficiently, also give you more flexibility. With Internet fax you can send and receive faxes anywhere you have an Internet connection. That means that while you are traveling, at home, in a hotel conference room, in the office, at a coffee shop, or in the park with your Wi-Fi card in your laptop, you can still send and receive your faxes.

Internet fax also contributes to a cleaner workspace. Since all faxes are digital images sent to your email, you don't have the paper clutter that is associated with a standard fax machine. You print the faxes that you need printed and simply save the others to your computer for quick retrieval later.

This leads us to the fact that without the fax paper, toner, fax machine and maintenance costs, Internet fax is easier on your wallet. Most Internet fax services can be found in the $10.00 a month range. Some may charge you minutes but most will include free minutes every month. You can't operate a standard fax machine for under $10.00 month. First you factor in the fax paper (that always runs out in the middle of that important transmission), then the toner (that always runs out right after you replace the paper), then the maintenance costs (for when you have replaced the paper and the toner and it still doesn't work).

And because you don't have all that paper, toner, and of course the bulky fax machines themselves, Internet fax is also easier on the environment. The only resource you are using while sending your Internet fax is the electricity that you would be using to run your computer anyways.

Internet fax is a technology whose time has come. It has already replaced standard fax machines the world over. When it comes time for you to make the decision for you and your fax needs, just take a look at the facts.
