Cable TV has its limitations as do free-to-air satellite TV programs. So what does one do if to get quality picture, sound and a choice of personalized channels? The answer is obvious ? Direct TV or Satellite TV of course. Now we are not claiming that there are no drawbacks when it comes to satellite TV, the perfect system has yet to be invented. But in the ultimate analysis we can say that satellite TV is presently the best compared to any other means of video and sound entertainment.

Technology:

Satellite TV does not require the use of a network of cables stretching way across town to your house. Cables have their own limitations. There are many times in a month you will have to call in he ?cable guy? because the picture and sound quality has deteriorated. This is because of many factors. The cable gets old, there are leakages in the cable the cable breaks along the line or someone tries to tap the cable to get some free entertainment.

When you move you have to pay an installation charge or a shifting charge to have the cable connection moved. You will also need to first check if you have cable in the area you are shifting to.

All these problems are solved with Satellite TV. You need to have a small dish as small as 2 and half feet in diameter, a cable coming from the dish to your set-top box and connected to your TV. You can take this dish anywhere with you as long as you have learnt how to install you satellite TV system, which is not too difficult at all and anyone can do it.

Clarity of Picture and Sound

Satellite delivers the best picture and sound quality. Since you are connected to the Earth station through a satellite, there are no physical problems to be dealt with like leakages or short circuits in the cable. The only problem one may face it bad picture due to bad weather. And this is not too frequent a problem either.

Choice of Programs

Satellite gives you the flexibility to choose the choice of programs too. You can choose to watch the free-to-air programs, but a bouquet of channels, which are pre-defined and you cannot pick and choose. Or you can use your card and order the programs of your choice for a nominal fee.

Satellite TV, be it Direct TV or Dish TV, both have a vast choice of programs to choose from. There are many languages supported too. For the sports fans there are endless lists of services some come with the package and some are premium programs, meaning one has to order the program to view it.

The satellite service providers make this easy for you. All you have to do is to pick up the phone and speak to a customer care representative. They will process your order in real time and ask you to key in your credit card number on the phone to make the payment. Some may have other secured ways to make your payments too. However, the fact of the matter is that you get your program within a matter of minutes.

The only other drawback you will experience is, as with all companies, perhaps some bad customer care. Of late Dish TV is getting some bad reviews but they are working on it. Other than this Satellite TV is the source for family and individual entertainment and infotainment too.
