RSS aggregator checks a web browser to find for RSS feeds. The HTML used allows the computers communicate with each other. While users surf the web, they can load and view each pages of interest and the RSS aggregators will track the changes to those particular websites by construction titles and brief descriptions with links..

RSS begins with a Web site that has content that is available by the administrator.  The website creates an RSS document and then registers this document with an RSS publisher. This allows for syndication by other websites. The Web site will also create an RSS feed (channel) that is made available with all other resources or documents on that particular Web server.  A directory of appropriate publishers is then produced.

Website content in an RSS feed is organized from newest to oldest, with each item   assigned a simple title and a description and link to a web page with the actual content. The user may be satisfied with just the title and description or they may want to click on the link in order to obtain the original content.

Content is located in a file on a webpage, similar to a typcial web page. The only difference is that the information is XML code, which the RSS aggregator recognizes.

There are two parts to RSS syndication - the source end and the client end.

The client end gathers and uses the RSS feed information. As an  example, Mozilla FireFox browser is the client end of the RSS transaction and the client end would be the user's desktop or RSS aggregator.

The aggregator monitors the RSS feed and notes any changes.  There are numerous RSS aggregators that are preconfigured with by using lists of RSS feed URLs that are connected to information websites. Users may simply choose from the list.

RSS aggregators can be accessed through a search on the Internet and can be  incorporated emails. Other aggregators will run as a standalone program within your computer.

RSS feeds have many uses.  Some are:

 - Online store or retail to for notifiy of new product arrivals.

 - Weather updates and other alerts.

 - Database management. The aggregator can notify of new things added or any newly registered members.
