Superchips Programmer Equals Masculinity? Often But Not Always!

By: Tsaunier
This story deals with a man called Peter, who had just one goal: To sit on the couch and watch TV. He was not the most masculine man; his favorite series were "Desperate Housewives" and "Sex and the City". He was the best example of, what the modern and always-trendy writers of fashion papers call, a metro sexual man -- where the actual reason for this word creation wasn't the goal to describe other guys but themselves. Whatever, Peter didn't know that he belonged to this new society, where the guys often replace their clothes by the sister ones and use the wife's makeup. At this point I want to mention that the wife is nearly the only thing that makes them different from a gay guy.

Peter had the impression that watching these kinds of series is more masculine than anything else because they have a lot of hot women. This theory is not wrong. Not at all! But there is just one mistake concerning the validity of this theory: Why does he prefer a series about a red haired feminist, a wrinkled nymphomaniac, a naÃ?ve silly and a blond, sometimes hot but too often just freaky, woman in their mid thirties over a nice walk to the strip club with his friends? Peter's friends asked him to come out with them several times, to which Peter just replied, "I have to do something for work" or "I have no money."
(Of course you won't have any money if you spend 200 bucks for all 5 seasons of Sex and the City" and the last hundred issues of "People" to be up to date). Unfortunately he is informed, but only in the way Peggy, from the Barber shop on Main Street, and Pierre is, who replaced Chang Li at the manicure shop in order to be the first American owner of such a business.

Nevertheless Peter was sure that his way of celebrating the evenings from Monday to Sunday was pretty normal for a guy of 25. In order to improve his "up to date" nature he bought a TIVO, which should prevent him from missing any of his favorite series. Maybe this was the reason why he decided (after six months the first time) to join his friends and went to a bar called "Burgers and Bodies - Explore the flat and big buns". Even if it seemed that he really enjoyed his time in the club, which proves that the last step for going from a metro-sexual to a homosexual hasn't be done yet, he couldn't wait to see, what his new friend TIVO has recorded for him. As he came home, he switched the TV station on and was confronted with all the series and shows, TIVO chose for his owner. By the way it has to be said that this innovative program selects all shows and series referring the criteria his owner used to watch in the past.

So Peter stood in front of his TV staring at the screen and realizing that his new friend TIVO had the impression that he was interested in watching the championships of female ice-skating and the new episode of "Girlfriend", where four black girls try to imitate "Sex and the City". His feelings at this situation could be described as both surprised and shocked. This reaction shows that people's self assessment is often as false - as are most parts of Michael Jackson's face.
Now Peter had to decide what to do after being confronted with his actual personality. And he did what the most men would to in this situation. He didn't accept what was so obvious for everyone. In order to fool himself he bought some Performance stuff for his truck and a Superchips Programmer to coordinate all the new functions he earned for his auto. So he had the feeling of being a real cool guy. But the people around him knew that the Superchips Programmer had just the function to remind him of the remote at home that was and is responsible for the tears in his pillows.
