No matter the family, no matter the house, there's one thing almost everyone has in common - a lack of flat surface space. With papers, books, and more all piling up to fill just about every available flat surface in many homes, what's a person to do when a clean slate is needed? Folding tables are a great solution to a number of flat surface issues. Easy to use and even easier to store out of the way, these little wonders are great for everything from breakfast in front of the television to all out card games. Think beyond the old fashion and somewhat flimsy metal tray tables of the past. Folding tables have taken on a life and a style of their own. They now come in a number of different decorator styles and some are even very well made from high quality woods to ensure they enhance a home's decor while in use instead of taking away from it. There's lots of choice, too. The old tray tables of the past are now considered "retro" and are still in vogue with improved construction designs. The more expensive wood tables add a decorator touch while still serving their portable and temporary purpose and there are even "stackable" tables that come in nests to allow for easy storage of multiple folding tables at a single time. Folding tables include such styles as: * Wooden tray tables. Mocking the old fashion tray tables of the past, these wooden designs are more attractive and infinitely more sturdy than their older ancestors. Still they maintain the useabilty and flexibility of the original design. They fold out for use and fold up for easy storage in a closet, behind a couch or what have you. They're great for adding temporary extra work space or even for use as permanent accent tables. This is especially so for the designs in decorator hard woods. * Wooden card tables. There's no reason to just think metal and kind of boring when it comes to card tables. Just like the tray tables, these can be more attractive than their metal counterparts and are designed for both temporary and permanent use. The choice is really up to the user and since the designs are attractive, they work no matter what. * Portable card tables. In this case, those designed for an actual game of poker. These are fantastic for weekly games and what's better they can be stored away with ease when not in use. Some even come with the traditional felt top for adding to the atmosphere of a room. * Metal tables. Both tray and card tables, these still can be had in the old fashion form or even in enhanced, designer metals. Unlike the earlier versions, these tend to be more sturdy for everyday use or a once in a while pull out for company. Folding tables are great investments for any home where flat surface space is at a premium. Creating an extra working surface that enables quiet dinners in front of the television or even a great place for the kids to do homework, these tables are versatile and can be very attractive as well. What's more, most are quite affordable. |
