Panther Platform Rentals, one of the UK's largest powered access hire providers, have used their 44m Eagle truck mount to help refurbishment contractor Menaway Ltd replace rotten fin sections of a unique windmill. The 34m tall windmill is situated in the beautiful village of Caldecote, Buckinghamshire which was recorded in the Doomsday Book as having two mills in the 11th century. As an important part of British heritage the mill presented various access challenges that were further hampered by uneven ground and the close proximity of adjacent buildings.
The Eagle proved ideal to achieve the task with its impressive 30m outreach getting operators up and over all obstacles.
Proportional controls allowed for highly accurate positioning of the four-man platform between the sails and in addition to its impressive working envelope, the Eagle's integral intercom system enabled direct communication between crews.
Experts in providing safe access for a huge variety of applications, Panther Platform Rentals helped Menaway Ltd make plain sailing of the refurbishment ensuring the preservation of one of England's treasures.
Panther Platform Rentals' Eagle 4430 truck mount makes safe access easy for Menaway Ltd's refurbishment team in Caldecote, Buckinghamshire.
