If you live in the Holland Village area, you're probably familiar with Da Paolo. This Italian is a very popular neighbourhood dine; kids love the deep fried calamari with tartare sauce ($22) and grown-ups' favourites are the veal ravioli ($29) and roasted lamb rack with bell peppers ($49). No one leaves without trying their decadent desserts, like the great tiramisu ($13). Clearly, reservations are a must.
Tagliaetelle al Granchio, homemade egg pasta ribbons with crabmeat, tomatoes, cream and vodka. I love the tartness of the tomato and the soothing sweetness of the cream.
