Ayam penyet is very good! I really loved the crispy sprinkles of the promfet and chicken!

Brought a set meal of the deep fried pomfret and the deep fried enoki mushroom. Firstly, the pomfret was well prepared and cooked. The outer skin has a nice golden brown colour, crispy texture and well seasoned and the flesh of the fish taste fresh. Generous amount of the crispy crust was also given and is not too oily. The enoki mushroom has a slight crispyness, well seasoned, nice golden brown colour but the food was not hot by the time it was served. lastly, their chili paste has a spicy and mild sweet taste, goes well with the dishes.

Love the tasty of Indonesia good food, try their main menu Ayam Penyet was different from other shop that i have been. The chicken is crispy and the tahu telor were soft but the sauce taste similar to the gado-gado sauce that i ordered. Love their soda Gembira mean happy. Their service was good, the place is clean and spacious, also affordable price too. Overall, thumbs up and happy!!

Order the ayam penyet (smashed chicken) and gado-gado and you\'ll be addicted!I like the boneless chicken, but the boyfriend prefers the regular chicken - it\'s usually meatier, but I like how it\'s easier to eat the boneless version.If you run out of sambal (the spicy chili on the side), there\'s a counter where you can help yourself to more. You order at the counter and pay, and the meal is usually brought out in less than 10 minutes.The location on Level 1 Lucky Plaza is always busy and noisy, so it\'s not a place to go for a leisurely meal with a lot of talking.

I love ayam penyet, the chicken is always very big pieces and fried till crispy and fragrant. The small pieces of crispy crust taste really good too. Although it is fried, it does not taste oily at all. The tempeh taste good too, it is a dried version of bean curd. Their chilli is a a little of those sweet and spicy type, if you are able to eat spicy food, do request for more chilli. It goes really well with the chicken, and rice.

Ayam Penyet (Smashed Fried Chicken)0 love thedeep-fried beancurd , soybean cake ,cabbage and balacan-chilli which goes with it. . balacan-chilli is really spicy, it came as a shock as I had mouthful of rice withhalf a spoon of chilli. Be careful asit can get overpowering if you are unaware and eat too much chilli. The chicken meat here is very juicy and tender, which the chicken skin has been deep fried till really crispy and not too oily.Like the small little crispy crust on the chicken skins which is very fragrant. Those who cannot really take too spicy chilli should not take the risk to try their chilly sauce which is very spicy, but still is very tasty and goes really well with the chicken meat.The presentation looks great and the portion is just alright for a person.Service is good and staffs are friendly as well.

Was craving for ayam penyet so mum and I headed to Ayam penyet ria at Jurong point.I got myself the empal penyet.I absolutely love how their beef is always super soft!!! I prefer the beef to chicken in fact. They were having some lunch hour promotion so the set meal came with a chocolate pudding with custard and it was pretty good!!! Tasted just like agar agar actually..It was good to have it after eating rice with lots of belachan..Felt really cooling for the throat

Here is a popular and crowded place for ayam penyet. They have good tempeh and gado gado. Remember to get more chilli from the little counter because it is the highlight of the meal. Nice balachan chilli,I gobbled down so much rice because the chilli made it so tasty. The shop is a bit small and the tables are arranged very close together. Not suitable for prams. Generally, the food is served quickly, so it is a good place for quick lunch or dinner.

Ayam Penyet Ria is one of the most popular ayam penyet cafes in Lucky Plaza. They have cafes on two floors in the building, and another nearby at Far East Plaza. We were lucky that we had our weekday dinner there early at around 6pm, because the entire cafe was soon filled. The Ayam Penyet (smashed fried chicken) was a big piece of chicken that was not greasy and full of flavour. You cannot see it from this angle, but there was a mound of crunchy batter bits behind the chicken, reminding me of KFC. The breast meat attached to the small drumstick was a little dry and tough though, and the cafe could improve in that area.

Ayam Penyet Ria located at Lucky Plaza is really popular. There is always a long queue on most days, so be prepared to wait for a while. I ordered the gado gado in malay style which costs around $6. It consists of chips, potatoes and rice in cubes mixed in peanut sauce. The combination tastes really good.

Met up with an ex-colleague for dinner last week. I wanted to try the famed Ayam Penyet at Lucky Plaza so she brought me there. I ordered the grilled chicken and orange juice. Upon first bite of the chicken with the chili, my eyes immediately watered. Yes, it was THAT HOT! I gulped on my orange juice until my glass was only half full. Too bad for me, the chicken was really sensational, it\'s just that my tastebuds are still not used to that level of spiciness. I still ate it though, bit by bit. And FYI, had 2 glasses of OJ and even drank my ex-colleagues remaining iced tea. Don\'t know if I\'ll go back there anytime soon. Maybe as soon as my taste buds get used to spicy foods!

Girl\'s day out. We were in Ion. Then we realize that it\'s been sometimes since we went to Lucky Plaza for Ayam Penyet. Well i order the the chicken. The sambal was just tooGOOD. Though it wasextremely spicy i still eat it with my chicken and rice. The chicken was also very juicy. The crispness. The crumbs of the chicken was also too good. Since i was eating it after sometime i enjoyed my food to the fullest. We also ordered the crackers to eat with the rice. And the price is also reasonable. Those who have tried Ayam Penyet. Please go and try it. You don\'t know what you are missing out

Though I\'ve always liked ria\'s empal penyet, I was craving for chicken that day so I decided to get their ayam penyet. As expected, their sambal belachan was madddd hot. You would need more than a bottle of water to get rid of the spicyness. The chicken was pretty good though. Chicken+a teeeeny bit of sambal+crumbs+tahu+white rice=SHIOK. Im sure lots of you would have tried their ayam penyet! Really good but the sambal can make you go crazy!!!

Ria\'s Ayam and empal penyet are THE best. Ever since the bf tried their empal penyet, i\'ve been hooked to it. It basically comes with white rice and beef. OMG,their beef is to die for. It\'s extreeeeeemely soft and you dont have to spend half your time chewing your beef cos of how soft it is. OH their sambal belachan will make you breathe out smoke.Im not even kidding. TOO HOT TO HANDLE.

Was wandering alone in Lucky Plaza and decided to try out the famed Ayam Penyet stall. They adopt a system where you order and pay for your food first before waiting for it to arrive. Looked around and saw most people eating ayam penyet, so I followed the crowd. I also ordered keropok to go with my dish. The sambal is so good you have to try it for yourself. It goes very well with the smashed chicken and rice. The crispy batter bits also add crunch to the rice.

This menu was provided the moment we step into the restaurant.It\'s very straight forward and not difficult to maneuver around the menu coz there is only ONE page! Ordered the Es Cendol (Ice Cendol).It taste ok and the portion is abit too small.I think about 90% of the ingredient consist of those green jelly.I have tasted better ones.$3.50As a lover of chicken wings, I dutifully chose the Sayap Penyat (smashed chicken wing).The dish comes with abit of kang kong, 3 chicken wings, 1 deep fried bean curd, 1 piece of tempe and 1 cabbage leaf.I like the crispy stuff sprinkled on the wings.Doesn\'t come with white rice.Have to order rice separately at $0.90.Sayap Penyat at $6.00.

I have tried Ayam Penyet with chicken but for a change,I wanted to try the one with beef so i ordered it and I liked it soooo much better as compared to the one with chicken.The beef was really very soft and easy to chew. There was also quite alot of beef enough to be shared by 2.It comes with sambal belachan which is extremely spicy but SHIOK to eat with the rice and the beef.GOOD TRY!!

Ayam Penyet Ria’s fried beancurd is delicious! Its crispy fried beancurd is submerged in yummilicious and rich peanut sauce. The portion was huge and it should be recommended to be shared among a family. The many fried layers of beancurd are thin and crispy while the beancurd itself is soft and warm inside. Their fried chicken was awesome too! Great food!

This is one of the best and most value for money Indonesian restaurant. If you love spicy food, do visit this restaurant as they serves 2 types of chili which are exclusive served at this place. Both of equally spicy! However, I prefer the one with the black sauce as I think that it tastes slightly sweet. My recommended dishes are the Ayam Penyet ($6.50) and the crackers ($1.50). The chicken is tasty and juicy and the crackers are crispy and fresh!

Had to pick up something from Lucky Plaza so decided to try the Ayam Penyet Ria as I have heard much good reviews about their outlets. So hubby and I feasted on: 1) Ayam Penyet Rice set - a huge leg of chicken that is cripsy on the outside and juicy tender in the inside!! As I stuff my face with chunks of the awesome-ness, I wondered aloud how they achieve this?!? 2) Sambal - we didn\'t order this but the Sambal deserve special entry because it is HOT and very yummy. But it is HOT lor!! I am a spicy lady and even I had to give up! I could only take half of the serving (which is super rare) 3) Kerupuk - they serve a combi of the prawn crackers and the bitter crackers. When dipped in Sambal, it\'s BOOMZ!! 4) Otak-Otak - I expected the usual orange flat ones but their version is more like fishcake, spongy and white. It\'s nice still. 5) Teh Botol Sosro - good thing I had a sweet drink to help me tide over the super spicy chilli. Nice and sweet and cold. Mmmm... A really economic meal that\'s super super yummy! In fact I\'ll go Lucky Plaza JUST so to eat their Ayam Penyet!!!

I\'m pretty sad that the Novena\'s outlet has closed down since it is easier for me to travel to. And thus, I jumped on the opportunity to have it at Lucky Plaza when we passed by The chicken was fried to crispiness and perfected with the spicy chilli! Not forgetting the generous small flakes of fried stuff (I dunno what is called) scattered on top of it .... I usually gobbled down the whole dish, yummy Service is always fast and good and never fails me each time I go. Well, this is not a place for chit chatting and dating. Simply eat and go. But for the economic price for great food, it\'s worthy! The servers are usually friendly and obliges to our requests without a twinge of faces.Tahu Telor is good too! Always served pipping hot! I\'ll try to convince myself to try other dishes such as fried fish and some desserts especially chendol (lots of customers ordered it) in future ... but I just can\'t let ayam off ~~ ;p

When I can\'t decide on what to eat, my foolproof plan would always be to go to Ayam Penyet Ria at Lucky Plaza. Their Empal Penyet has to be one of the most favourite dish of mine. Even if I were to have it more then 5 times a week, I will never get tired of it. The Empal (Beef) is nicely smashed (Penyet), it may give the illusion of looking quite tough as the outer layer looks dark and quite hard but it is in fact, surprisingly easy to cut into the meat which looks like it\'s slightly shredded. I think they may have mixed in a bit of herbs or spices into it to make it more savoury. The meat is nicely cooked and tender and when mixed with their homemade sambal, the whole taste was fantastic. Their homemade sambal is very spicy though but as I\'m into spicy food, it was a breeze n would as for extra sambal however those with low spice tolerance can request for sweet dark sauce to counter the taste. I don\'t really eat greens but my husband has said that their kangkong, tempeh n tofu which comes with the beef and rice is not too salty if abit soggy. The place gets crowded during the normal peak hours (lunch, dinner and over the weekend) so expect to wait awhile if you decide to go there. Their service was so-so maybe because as the place is always busy and the staff seems rush and harried but all in all the meal was worth the wait.

Ayam Penyet Riaserves really delicious and cheap food. My favourite would be the fried chicken and rice, and the fried tau hu. They are well fried at the right temperature which enhances the taste. An average meal would costs around $10 - $15 per person, depending on the number of dishes ordered.I would recommend this place.

This deep fried chicken from Ayam Penyet Ria is a \'Must Try\' for all deep fried chicken lovers.This restaurant actually has quite many branches islandwide for the convenient for the neighbourhood people as well for the office workers in town.The chicken is very tender and fragrant.The side dishes includes kang kong, deep fried tau kwa are equally good.Do note that their chilli is very hot and spicy!An impressive dish!My verdict: 7.5/10

Indonesian food always taste great, especially the fried chicken with rice at Ayam Penyet Ria. For just $6.90, you can get a piece of fried cripsy chicken and a plate of rice. It is located at Lucky Plaza, there are two outlets, one located at level 1 and the other on level 3. It is super crowded most of the time we are there and we have to queue for our table.

The new Indonesian Restaurant at Bedok Point always seem to have a queue. Decided to try their SIgnature Penyet. We decided to try the Bawai Penyet (Smashed Pomfret) which is fried & flatten pomfret fishand Tahu Telor.Tahu Teloris bean curd cut into small pieces and fried with egg. It is crispy and serve with a peanut sauce. Top with some vegetables. I like the nice crispy texture and presentation like a tower.The Bawai Penyet is very crispy but the samble (chilli sauce) that go with it is too little. So it taste too dryif you have it with rice. So it is better to order some gravey dishes or soup to go with Penyet dishes. We also order lime juice and Ice Tea to go with the meal, but the Ice Tea does not seem to be sweet.
