Chapter One Learning Centre was founded in 2003 based on our strong belief that Chinese is not just a mere subject, but a personal communication skill that will remain a lifelong asset. Learning a language is akin to developing an extra set of ears, eyes and mouth, and to master it is the key to unlocking the door to its culture, history and community. That is why as fellow teachers driven by the passion to nurture a rich and meaningful appreciation of the Chinese language to the younger generation, we are empowered to improve each individual’s mastery of the language academically and make it a real part of their lives in society. Our students include Chinese and non-Chinese local and foreign students from Nursery to Secondary 4 levels. We seek to understand each student as a unique individual with his or her own pace of learning, and strive to present and teach the language in lively ways to make learning Chinese fun.
