Show up on Google and take your website to the next level. It's not as hard as it sounds and does not take a long time. Why is it important you ask? Google is by far the most relevant search engine, as it is estimated that 70+% of US searches are made there. More people use Google to do their searching than any other search engine. Period. The millions of searches made there translate into super targeted traffic for your website.

The method which would seem most obviuos is a direct submission to Google. Google had an addurl page (just search for it) which thoeretically helps you in getting into Google. However, they get 1000s upon 1000s of submissions that way every day. Your submission just gets added to the end of the list and may get lost in the shuffle before they get to it. There is no guarantee that your site will get listed in Google either. You do have a shot at successful inclusion this way, but it is the least preferred method.

The second method to show up on Google is to put your site in a position to be found by Google. By writing an informative article and submitting it to a popular article directory, you have an extremely good chance of being indexed in a relatively short period of time. Please keep in mind that the article must be unique and informative, providing value to the reader. You will be allowed to include a link in the author sig or resource box of the article, which Google's spiders (Google software that analyzes site content) will follow to get to your site. Assuming the site's content is unique and the site falls within Google's terms of service, Google will add it to their index.

The third and best method to have your site show up on Google is to have a website that is already listed on Google link to your website. The higher the page rank of the site linking to your site, the better. Google's spiders visit higher page ranking sites more often, so your wait to be indexed will be shorter if the page rank of the site linking to you is higher. For the ranking of your site, it also helps if the content of the site is in some way related to the content of your site. The more related the content of the 2 sites is, the more relevant Google will find your site and you will have higher search results rankings.

Please keep in mind that all 3 methods are based upon the assumption that your website meets Google's terms and conditions. If they do not, Google will not add your site. Make sure to familiarize yourself with those terms and conditions before you proceed with the steps outlined here today.

Getting in Google is the most important step towards your online success. The traffic you receive from them will be steady and extremely targeted once you optimize your site for the right keywords. Search engine traffic is the best converting traffic on the web, and the easiest way to get it is to show up in Google.
