Who doesn't want to be relaxed? What won't we do for it? We will pay a lot of hard-earned money on flight tickets and expensive resorts just to get away from our normal life and relax. We will submerge ourselves in boiling bubbling water, let people manipulate our muscles, use candles, drugs, music, and who knows what else just to relax, to forget about our troubles and smile a bit.
"Relax". That is some word isn't it? Have you had times when you "just needed to relax", but you could not? It's pretty common. But some people know that there are ways to use relaxation meditation techniques to help them put their minds, bodies and spirits at rest and to reach that state of relaxation where they can sleep, be who they really are with friends and family or get back to work in a relaxed and settled way.
So it will pay us big time if we can get a head start on learning how to put relaxation meditation techniques to work so we have control over this important area of life as well.
Developing better problem solving skills is one way to control anger. Sometimes anger takes place in relation to circumstances that a person cannot control. When this happens, make a concise plan about how to deal with the problem and then pay attention to your progress in coping with the situation at hand. Do the best you can but do not beat yourself up if things do not go as planned. Just keep on trying your best.
Aromatherapy relates to the natural method of healing the mind and body with essential plant oils that are either rubbed into the skin or inhaled. Some commonly used aromatherapy plants are juniper, rosemary, lavender and sage. This message was first used in ancient china. The ancient Chinese used these methods in a medical use.
Identify what makes you stressful and uneasy. Making a list of your stressful experiences is useful. Immediately deal with the issues that you can change, for instance waking up earlier for work in the morning, not leaving things till the last minute, and delegating tasks in case you are taking responsibility for everything.
Forget about the issues that you cannot influence like being stuck in a traffic jam or not getting into the elevator because there is no room for you.
Yoga is another way to relax yourself from the top of your head to the bottom of your toes. There are many different forms of yoga. So, make sure you choose the one that is slow and non-strenuous to the body. Yoga helps to relax the muscles as well as calm the mind. Other ways to relax in order to control anger include getting a massage or taking the time to learn to meditate.
Cognitive restructuring is another method of controlling anger. Put more simply, this means altering the way you think about events, people and the like. Angry people often exaggerate, blow situations out of proportion and leave all forms of logic behind. Always remind yourself that in the end anger solves nothing, instead it complicates situations even more. An attitude adjustment is often an effective means of controlling anger.
